What is Primary Election Day and why should you vote then?
Non-partisan candidates —- SCHOOL BOARD, Judges, Improvement District Officials & more are elected on THIS ballot, NOT the November ballot! County-wide referendums and rules are decided here too.
It is not only about selecting between more than one candidate from a party to move on to November. Lots of non-partisan positions are filled from this ballot and most people don’t even vote it.
Non-partisan is a MYTH!

Non-partisan means not belonging to a political party. There is no such thing as non-partisan when it comes to elected officials! If you think so, think again. Nobody would get involved if they didn’t have a strong opinion one way or another. It takes a lot of time and money to run for these positions. Don’t you think a Democrat on the School Board is more likely to lean woke than a Republican, even if both people run non-partisan? Party affiliation makes a difference, even in non-partisan races.
Party affiliation is available ONLINE. It is public record.
Just go to VoterRecords.com and type in a person’s name to find their voter record. It has records nation wide.
What’s bad about non-partisan elections?
Even though the candidates are registered Republicans or Democrats, there is no “REP” or “DEM” next to their name, so you need to know who the candidates are if you want to vote for them. Right now, in Palm Beach County, five of our current School Board Members are Democrats. We will likely have several great Republicans running for seats. Unlike partisan elections, all of them, Republicans and Democrats, will run at the same time, in August.
Can’t make it on August 18th?
That’s okay. If you request a Vote-by-Mail (VBM) ballot before August 6th, you can mail in your vote. Or, you can vote in person during early voting from August 8-15th. There are so many options to help you vote, now that you know how important it is, make sure you vote the Primary Election.
What else will be on the ballot?
The Primary Election is when partisan candidate of the same party run against each other to get onto the General Election ballot in November. For example, only one Republican and one Democrat can run against each other in the General Election in November. If multiple Republicans or multiple Democrats want to run, they have a run-off in the Primary Election to see which one from each party will move forward to the General Election. Most counties in Florida are already putting Sample Ballots on their Supervisor of Elections’ websites, so you can see exactly who you will be on your particular ballot, as well as any referendums that might be on there too. Ballots vary, not only by county, but also by district within the county.
Let’s work together to save America!
Do you part and vote! Help Republicans win NOW! Spread the word and get all of your Republican friends to vote in August and in November.
